Unapologetic: Teachers Want Out

Unapologetic Democrat: My wife is a teacher and there are very few teachers I know that aren’t taking early retirement just to get out of the system. The Idaho legislature which I think unfortunately reflects the opinion of the citizens (I guess that is how it is supposed to be) shows no respect for the teaching profession in this state. When there was a resolution last week in recognition of IEA it was booed by some of our wonderful legislators. As long as we continue to elect conservative or even reactionary Republicans who have little or no respect for public employees and the role of government whether it is in education or other public services, we will have teachers and other public employees bailing out of the system as soon as they can afford to.

Question: Do you know any teachers in the Idaho system? Are they thinking about bailing out?
