HBO Gets Copy Of Recaller Recording

nic’s recording

The Spokesman-Review

On Tuesday, I told you that I'd heard a tape that regular commenter Nic made of a Recaller outside the Woodland Middle School precinct misstating information while gathering signatures. The Recaller states that the cost of the McEuen Field upgrade is $35 million to $40 million and that he'd read somewhere that the figure could be as high as $80 million. Mayor Sandi Bloem & the council members targetted for recall have said again and again that the actual cost of the McEuen Field upgrade is $14.2 million. At one point, the Recaller invites organizer Mary Souza to answer a question that Nic asks. And Souza explains her view of Lake City Development Corp. Nic provided a copy of the tape to City Clerk Susan Weathers for possible police investigation. Weathers has turned the tape over to City Attorney Mike Gridley, asking what she should do with it because Nic didn't file a formal complaint. Nic has also turned a copy of the tape over to Huckleberries Online. I didn't learn of the tape until Nic told me that he had recorded the Recaller. The audio of the tape is posted above for you.
