TFTN: GOP Suffers ‘Church Split’

In the religious world, they call it a “church split.” People who have so much in common — a belief system, a striving to do what is right — begin to fight about the details or, worse, the personalities. Before you know it, there are two churches on the block instead of one. Anyone who’s been through a church split knows that it does little to bolster the strength of the faith; it just generates a lot of hard feelings. Politics is not a religion, nor is it sacred, but there does seem to be something of a “church split” going on in the Republican Party right now. Spend time in Republican circles these days and you’ll hear the word “RINO” (Republicans In Name Only) dropped like some kind of McCarthy-era witch hunt of those who are not conservative enough/Twin Falls Times-News. More here.

Question: Have you ever been through a "church split" and lived to tell about it?
