Trib Jeers Rod Beck, Semanko

Opinionator Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune hands out two monster Jeers for the two-headed monster that led the Idaho GOP over the closed-primary cliff -- Rod Beck and GOP Chairman Norm Semanko. Of Beck, Marty said: "Closed or open, the GOP primary yielded the same result. Incumbents prevailed because they're in lockstep with the mainstream of their own party. Which is a lot more than Beck and his allies can say at the moment." Trillhaase jeered Semanko for trying to, ahem, polish a turd -- my words, not Marty's -- in trying to spin the record low voter turnout in the GOPrimary into a positive. Quoth Marty: "Tuesday's numbers showed voter participation going off a cliff. But rather than admit a mistake, Semanko went into a defensive crouch - and started shopping around for different numbers." More here.

Question: Is it time that the Idaho GOP dump Semanko?
