Mountain lion killed near Boise State

Sissyphus doesn't have to worry about his kitties any more:

Boise Police shot and killed a mountain lion that had been prowling near the Boise State campus. The cougar was shot at midnight, after it was spotted feeding at a dumpster near Bronco Stadium.

Early Monday, citizens called police saying they had spotted the mountain lion, once near the Friendship Bridge connecting Boise State to Julia Davis Park and again near the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Myrtle Street.

Last Friday evening, a mountain lion, presumably the same one, was spotted in the Warm Springs Mesa area of East Boise. At the time, law enforcement confirmed the sighting by finding fresh tracks in the area. Boise Weekly
