Miss Idaho Seeks Journalism Career

Genevieve Nutting, Miss Idaho 2011-2012, shared her passion for journalism, arduous 18,000 mile journey across the world and her fellowship with the Girl Scouts of America (GSA) to the Journalistic-English (JE) 11 class Wednesday, April 25, in room 103. Born in Spokane, Nutting discovered a love for journalism while writing for Capitol High School’s yearbook and newspaper programs in Boise. When asked what form of writing she enjoys most, Nutting told reporters that she finds basic news important, but she prefers to write editorial and feature stories. “I like seeing people’s different lifestyles and discovering what their passions are,” said Nutting. “I love writing about interesting things”/Lewiston High Bengal's Purr.
