Hostess To Lay Off Idaho Workers
Hostess Brands, the Texas-based maker of bread and snack cakes, filed a notice to the state this month warning of layoffs across Idaho. The notice, required by law, warned of layoffs or plant closures by July 7. The company said the cuts would affect 34 jobs at three Boise locations, 19 at two Nampa locations, three jobs each in Caldwell and Mountain Home and 19 at two Twin Falls locations. Hostess mailed notices May 4 to all of its 18,500 employees in the U.S., said Hostess spokesman Erik Halvorson/Audrey Dutton, Idaho Statesman. More here. (AP photo)
