The first Presidential election I remember participating in was Reagan Carter in 1980. At the age of 6, I was campaign captain for Ronald Reagan in Mrs. Daugherty's first grade class at Ohatchee Elementary School in Alabama. I had to convince classmates to cast their vote for Reagan. I distinctly remember feeling giddy every time I put another tally mark on the chalkboard for Reagan. I've had the political bug ever since.
