Politicking On The Streets

Photographer Duane Rasmussen snapped this photo of politicking in the fog at the intersection of Highway 95 & Appleway at 8 o'clock this morning. Paul Matthews, right, who is the Reagan Republican running against incumbent Judy Meyer for the North Idaho College Board of Trustees, was on the corner when Duane headed for breakfast at Michael D's at 7 and when Duane returned. Matthews told Duane that people seemed more stressed at 8 a.m. Maybe they were late for work? Luke Malek, who is a House District 2 candidate, visited with Matthews before leaving the corner.

Question: I've often wondered how influential politicking on streets corners is on Election Day. Anyone?
