Time To Call It A Night

It's 12:16 & the Kootenai County Election Department is just beginning to count precincts after tabulating 19,007 or so absentee ballots. The only mystery left in the local count is whether North Idaho College incumbent Trustee Judy Meyer can hang on to a relatively comfortable lead to thwart an attempt by Reagan Republican candidates to take over the NIC board. Ron Nilson and Todd Banducci appear to be winning the other two seats. I can wait until morning to see if Judy wins -- and keeps the board in the hands of quality nonpartisans. In the morning, it'll be fun to do a post-mortem on the Luna Laws propositions that went down in flames tonight. Before I go, I'll leave you with the tally of Kootenai County votes at  Click here.
