CdA Woman Killed In H41 Crash

A 40-year-old Coeur d'Alene woman was killed at 7:26 this morning when her out-of-control vehicle was hit by an oncoming pickup on Highway 41, near the intersection with Highway 54, south of Spirit Lake. Neta J. Clift was northbound on Highway 41 when she lost control of her 1994 Oldsmobile on the snow-covered highway, according to the Idaho State Police. The vehicle spun into the southbound lane where it was struck by a 2004 Dodge pickup, driven by Nancy J. Daniel, 49, of Blanchard. Clift was pronounced dead at the scene. Daniel and passenger, Hailie Daniel, 10, also of Blanchard, were taken to Kootenai Medical Center by private vehicle where they were treated for minor injuries and released. Clift's body was taken to Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d'Alene.
