Christa: New Group Targets Education

Christa Hazel: CEP (Coeur d'Alene Education Partnership) will definitely be a fantastic resource for our community. The board is compromised of talent, interest, and true concern for our local education system. The efforts they have made in connecting the young professionals and the Coeur group with those kids at Borah has been wildly successful. I hope they can continue to expand and reach out to other area schools (like Bryan, for example) to help bolster positive adult role modeling or volunteer time in the classrooms. It’s exciting to see a grassroots group form around a need and then start accomplishing admirable goals.

Question: Anyone know more about this organization? Is its purpose solely to partner with schools to help them with supplies, volunteers, etc., like a PTO? Or something more than that?
