Warzocha: 0-5 Idaho Cashing In

Troy Warzocha, the UI Vandals beat writer, is having second thoughts re: Idaho giving up the fight to remain in college football's top division & joining Eastern Washington and Montana in the Big Sky Conference:

" ... there's no reason the Vandals should waste their time with bothersome conference games when they could collect a nice paycheck and still get the same result. And because of the Vandals' precious FBS designation, it's a paycheck that usually doubles that of Football Championship Subdivision schools. To schools like Florida and LSU (which boast athletic departments that operate with a budget north of $100 million), there's really not a whole lot of difference between paying Towson $500,000 and Idaho $950,000.It's a discrepancy that LSU coach Les Miles, who makes $3.75 million a year before performance bonuses, probably throws away on baseball caps and pullover jackets. While that extra bit of cash is just a drop in a bucket to LSU, to Idaho, it's a solid chunk that could be used wisely to help fill out the five required home games on its independent schedule for 2013 and '14." More here.

Question: Has Idaho's 0-5 state persuaded you that it doesn't belong in the top college football division?
