Dennis: Christians From Neck Up

My bride,Susan, and I are doing a daily morning devotion; we're reading author Gary Thomas' Every Body Matters. And it's painful. Each morning we take a quarter hour or so and read a few paragraphs from a chapter in the book. We combine our time also with reading life-giving scriptures from The Bible. It's a good way to start the day. If you like pain...Especially when something pricks at your conscience. As when Thomas asks if we are "chin up only" Christians. Not familiar with that term? It's a nice way of saying that there are many followers of Jesus who are big fatsos. Their faith only affects their mind and spirits. Not their bodies. Below their chin their faith has very little influence. And they're lardos. Excuse me, I meant to add that I was a lardo at one time, too. 60 pounds too heavy. Last Christmas/Dennis Mansfield. More here.

Question: Do you consider overeating to be an addiction?
