Weekend Wild Card — 10.13-14.12

I saw another sign that the 2012 general election causing much excitement in the local under-ticket races. As I returned home Friday night, I didn't see a political yard sign at the three-way-stop corner of Lincoln Way (Highway 95) & Walnut (just east of the Spokane River bridge). Usually, that corner is sprouting political yard signs like dandelions. In fact, I've seen few yard signs in the Coeur d'Alene area. Not much at stake. Just Idaho public education. Just control of North Idaho College. The Idaho presidential race is a slam dunk. Yet that's the one that'll get people out. Amazing. Now for your Weekend Wild Card …
