PM Scanner Traffic — 10.23.12

A motorist makes a phone call in the middle of a 13 car pile up on Highway 95 at Kathleen Avenue early Tuesday in Coeur d'Alene. The northbound lanes of Highway 95 are shut down and traffic is being detoured around the crash at Bosanko Road. The southbound lanes are open and not affected by the crash.   • 3:32 p.m. ISP release: “The Idaho State Police is requesting the public to try and avoid the area of US95 near Bosanko and Kathleen in Coeur d'Alene. There has been a multiple vehicle crash and it is blocking all northbound traffic at this time. If possible, find alternate routes and avoid this area.
  • 3:24 p.m. I-90 readerboards are diverting traffic from n/b H95 as result of multi-vehicle crash.
  • 3:01 p.m. A green Town & Country is disabled on fog line @ I-90/MP 10 (KYRO skate area).
  • 2:44 p.m. H95 is closed from n/b Kathleen to Bosanko as a result of multi-car crash (2:26 item).
  • 2:26 p.m. 4- to 6-vehicle injury accident, possibly including semi, reported @ n/b H95 & Kathleen/CdA. (Update: could be 2 accidents — a 2-vehicle crash & one of 6 to 7 vehicles)
  • 1:53 p.m. Resident in 11500 block of Cecil/PF reports brother stole his lawn mower.
  • 1:34 p.m. Caller reports tree down on pickup, causing injury, on USFS Road No. 202.
  • 12:59 p.m. Transient trespassed from other locations panhandling @ Hayden WalMart.
  • 12:38 p.m. DMV worker reports wanted male is in Government Way/CdA office.
  • 12:39 p.m. Couple in 40s loitering for 2nd time in two days @ law office on Neider Avenue/CdA.
  • 12:34 p.m. CPD Blue dealing w/disorderly male in black jacket who is cackling.
  • 12:20 p.m. Resident reports someone is stealing travel trailer @ undisclosed Post Falls location.
  • 12:13 p.m. Loose dogs creating road hazard @ Clagstone & Rosemont/Athol.
  • 12:04 p.m. Mother reports male breaking into residence in 2700 block of Ashland/Hayden.
