Candidate Defends Reagan Repubs

In a letter to the Coeur d'Alene Press editor, Jim Pierce writes:

"I wanted to clarify some points that were brought up in Saturday’s article by Jeff Selle about the current race for the Hospital Board. I am a candidate in that race and have received the endorsement of both the Reagan Republicans and the Balance North Idaho PAC. I am humbled and honored to receive both endorsements and have great respect for both organizations. However, the tone of the article seemed to reflect a negative view on my part toward the Reagan Republicans. That is not the case. Contrary to a statement in the article, I am a proud dues-paying member of the RRs as well as a member of their board. The reporter and I discussed so many things that he confused the timing of when I joined the group. In addition, the article mentioned that I stated that I was “often in the minority when it comes to some Reagan Republican Board decisions.” This statement is true but it is not a negative reflection on the RRs." More here.

Question: Jim goes on to say: "the RRs are actually made up of a wide array of viewpoints and attitudes." Do you agree with that statement?
