Lake City Lifeguards Packing It In

Swim at your own risk. Empty lifeguard stands at Coeur d'Alene's City Beach herald the approaching end of this year's run of school-free summer days. Beach crews finished the summer season Sunday and brought in the buoy line, meaning visitors who swim at the popular recreation spot won't be under a lifeguard's watch again until next year. Lifeguards will no longer be staffed at Hayden's Honeysuckle Beach after this weekend. Over in Post Falls, Friday is the final day lifeguards will be on duty at the beach at Q'emiln Riverside Park/Coeur d'Alene Press.

Question: What other signs do you see that the summer is coming to an end?
