The Kootenai County Fairgrounds were brimming Tuesday with the promise of good times, fun, food and thrills as final preparations were under way for today's start of the North Idaho Fair and Rodeo in Coeur d'Alene. While crews of workers assembled towering carnival rides, vendors and exhibitors arranged their offerings. "It's a year in the making, so to have it all come together in the last few days is exciting," said Dane Dugan, the fair's general manager. "We're ready for people, so come on over." More here.

Question: Why do you go to the fair?
