CdA Thieves Prefer Hondas, Too

Last Tuesday, the Spokane Valley Police Department issued a press release reference six Honda Accords stolen in one day. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department has also had reports of Honda’s stolen. It is possible the crimes are being committed by the same suspects:

  • On Aug. 22 between 8:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Julia Street, a 1993 Honda Accord (red) with Idaho plates 3B40699 was taken. This vehicle was located by Spokane Police Department on Aug. This victim’s same vehicle was stolen in May of this year.  It was recovered in Spokane the next day.
  • On Aug. 22 between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. at 525 W. Canfield Ave., The Olive Garden, a 1999 Acura Integra (green) with Idaho plates K517812 was stolen.
  • On Aug. 22 at 6:25 p.m. at 315 W. Canfield Ave., Target Stores, a 1996 Honda Civic (green) with Idaho plates K533864 was stolen.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to call the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at 208-769-2320. Citizens are reminded to take all valuables out of their vehicles. For information on auto burglary and theft prevention visit our website at www.cdapolice.org
