Local GOP Oppose Immigration Move

The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee will consider a resolution that denounces recent action by the national party to loosen immigration rules. The resolution to be considered at the groups monthly meeting Tuesday reads in part:

Whereas, this new pro-legalization direction of the Republican National Committee is contrary to the will of Republican grassroots activists, and whereas, increasing the amount of foreign workers in this country harms our most vulnerable citizens; therefore resolved, the Kootenai County Republican Central Committe strongly denounces the RNC's passage of this pro-legalization resolution; and resolved, the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee opposes amnesty and supports self-deportation, even if the RNC no longer does.

Question: Who's out of step on the immigration issues -- national GOP or Kootenai County GOP?
