Jacobson Joins Post Falls Mayor Race

At least two Post Falls council members will face each other in the race to replace Mayor Clay Larkin, who will step down in January. Councilman Ron Jacobson filed his candidacy papers today, according to the city of Post Falls Web site. He will face Councilwoman Kerri Thoreson, who already has filed her candidacy papers. Dick Harris, former superintendent of schools in Post Falls, is Jacobson's campaign manager, while former legislator Freeman Duncan will serve as Jacobson's treasurer. Thoreson didn't list a campaign manager on candidacy paper. Jeannie Peugh is her treasurer. Incumbents Linda Wilhelm, Betty Ann Henderson, and challenger Barry Rubin are currently running unopposed for three council spots.
