Man Gets Life In Christmas ‘11 Murder

Judge Fred Gibler imposed a life sentence on Joseph Herrera with 22 of those years fixed; Herrera will be eligible for parole after 22 years and will be given credit for the 640 days already served for the Dec. 25, 2011 shooting death of Stefanie Comack. Herrera was found guilty of second-degree murder June 13, 2013 after a four-day trial that began 18 months after the shooting. The sentence was handed down in district court in Coeur d’Alene just moments ago/St. Maries Gazette-Record.
