In Other News — 12.13.13

At noon Thursday, Stan Wills, a representative of the Sons of the American Revolution, spoke to the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans about the history of the United States and its flags. Membership in Wills' organization is limited to “any male, who is a lineal decendent of an ancestor who supported the war of American Independence.” The flat Wills is holding is a U.S. Naval flag, which was used before the United States developed its unique design. Americans didn't like it because of its simularity to the British flag. (Photo: Duane Rasmussen)
