Letter: Appreciates Hucks Civility

For several years I have been posting on the Press’s online newspaper (blog). Many post there anonymously. Over the years I have watched as the posts, particularly the anonymous ones, have grown increasingly uncivil. I find this to be in contrast with the HBO (Huckleberries Online) site moderated by Dave Oliveria. I certainly will not be posting as much and am considering discontinuing posting entirely. I am sorry that it has come to this and sorrier still that The Press doesn’t raise the bar of their online blog standard to be more civil/Randy Myers, Coeur d'Alene Press letters to the editor.

DFO: I'm not publishing Randy's letter to blow my own horn. But I appreciate that the ongoing attempt to keep things civil here has been noticed.

Question: Is Huckleberries civil enough for you? Or are there still things that should be worked on?

Please keep it civil. Don't post comments that are obscene, defamatory, threatening, off-topic, an infringement of copyright or an invasion of privacy. Read our forum standards and community guidelines.
