Berns: LCDC Job Count — 2200-2700

From City Clerk Renata McLeod's minutes of the City Council meeting Tuesday, a presentation by LCDC executive Tony Berns, which led to this comment by Councilman Mike Kennedy:

"Councilman Goodlander stated that she appreciated the way the presentation was organized, as it was easy for people to see the accomplishments and goals.  She further stated that it was her pleasure to serve with the Board.  Councilman Edinger thanked Mr. Berns for his presentation.  Councilman Kennedy asked how many jobs were created at the U.S. Bank Call Center, Riverstone, and Kroc Center.  Mr. Berns stated that there were 500 employees at the call center, approximately 1,500 to 2,000 at Riverstone (dependent upon construction), and approximately 200 at the Kroc Center.  Councilman Kennedy stated that the economic impact and job creation has been a great public private partnership with proven results.  Additionally, he stated that Sorenson School was at risk of being closed, but due to the flexibility of LCDC, that school was able to be refurbished to meet ADA and is now flourishing." Councilmen Dan Gookin and Steve Adams also made comments here.

Question: Are you impressed with the number of job created by Lake City Development Corp?
