Lincoln Day Committee Chairman Matt Robinson has circulated the following message to members of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee:
The Lincoln Day Dinner is quickly approaching and we need help from each and everyone of you to help make this year's event successful. The best way to do that is to participate and to share the experience with others. Please sponsor tables, donate goods and/or services and buy raffle tickets for the firearms raffle. This will be a fundraiser style dinner where tickets are only $50 per plate. Similar style fundraising dinners usually start at $500 per plate; this is an tremendous opportunity to introduce others to the Republican Party and our elected officials. More here. (AP file photo)

Question: A political wag noted that former House Speaker Lawerence Denney and former Bonner County Commissioner Cornel Rasor will be speaking, both of whom lost re-election bids last year. Tongue firmly cheeked, the quipster said that the Far Right wing of the local Republican Party is "reaching out from their political graves. Maybe we should call it a Zombie's Dinner or Zombie Ball." Is this Lincoln Day Dinner going to launch the Zombie Apocalypse in the Inland Northwest?
