Just Wondering …

Soon, candidates will begin emerging for the Coeur d'Alene School Board. Christa Hazel (running for appointee Brent Regan's seat) has her paperwork ready to file. Ditto Tom Hearn (who will be running for appointee Jim Hightower's seat). Everyone knows that the Reagan Republicans are raising money to keep the two seats on the controversial, ultraconservative school board. And that the Reagan Republicans are skilled at promoting their candidates as the only ideologically pure Republican candidates in nonpartisan races, via mailings and their ground troops who knock on doors. So here's the question:

Question: How would you advise Hazel or Hearn re: how to beat a Reagan Republican candidate, if you were his/her campaign manager?
