Abandoned Tot’s Pop Faces Charge

The 36-year-old father of a toddler, pictured, who was found wandering alone along Government Way near Sully's Pub earlier this month is scheduled to be arraigned on March 5. Jesse W. Edwards Jr., of Coeur d'Alene, has been charged with injury to a child for the Feb. 10 incident, according to court documents. Edwards didn't immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday. Witnesses told The Press the 2-year-old boy was wandering close to traffic on Government Way and drivers were stopping to check on the boy's safety. The boy was brought into the bar and employees there called police. The boy told police he didn't know where his father was, and police found Edwards later that day at the Hayden Walmart/David Cole, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here. (KXLY photo)
