Tom RE: Why Committee Isn’t Meeting

In the comments section, Chairman Tom Hamilton of the Coeur d'Alene School Board reacted to a comment by "T" that the board had unilaterally cancelled the monthly meeting of the Long Range Planning Committee:

"The Board elected to put the LRPC on temporary hold until we get through the bidding phases of the Bond projects since there truly is little work for them to accomplish during that period. Why convene a committee without having any work for them to do?" Hamilton assured readers that the move was a temporary one -- and that the voice of parents and constituents would continue to be heard by the board.

Ron Burgundy reacted to Hamilton's explanation by saying:

Chairman Tom - when was that decision made? Was it in a public meeting? When was it expressed to the committee chair? Was that in a public meeting? Have the members of the committee been formally notified? Where are the minutes of that meeting? Are there emails with deliberations on this topic between board trustees and/or staff on this topic? Inquiring minds want to know!

Thoughts?
