Reagan Repubs Resist Obamacare

In a press release from last week, the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans Board of Directors voted unanimously against implementation of Obamacare in Idaho. The release states:

"Opposition to Obamacare has been a major component of KCRR’s political initiatives since its founding in 2009 and in the resolution the group resolves to 'renew and reiterate our commitment to state sovereignty as defined by the U.S. Constitution and strongly advise the Governor of Idaho and the Idaho Legislature to keep resisting this bad and tyrannical law.' Since the debate began, the Reagan Republicans have held town hall meetings on the law, staged protests against Obamacare, mounted counter-protests at pro-Obamacare rallies, and worked to elect candidates who oppose the law and its implementation in Idaho."

  • Also: A special meeting of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee to discuss a health exchange under Obamacare, proposed by Gov. Butch Otter, is scheduled for 7 tonight in the county administrative building.
