Phaedrus mentioned something in a comment earlier today that caught my interest. Basically, he wondered if a public vote would be in order if the city and school district couldn't reach a sales agreement re: Person Field. After all, two of the current board signed petitions calling for the recall of Coeur d'Alene Mayor Sandi Bloem and council members Mike Kennedy, Woody McEvers and Deanna Goodlander as a result of their handling of McEuen Field. Many in town felt the public should have voted on the McEuen Field project. What do you think?
Question: If the Coeur d'Alene School Board and City Council can't read a sales agreement on Person Field, should the matter of sale to a private party be put up for a non-binding public vote?
