I'm glad I had other things to do last night than to watch Alabama stomp Notre Dame in the BCS championship game. I watch considerably less sports on television today than I did 10 years ago. I enjoy baseball. But I'd rather listen to a ballgame on the radio while gardening than watch it on television. The only sports telecasts that I'm dedicated to watching from the first tip to the last buzzer involve the Gonzaga Bulldogs. College basketball gets the job done in two-plus hours — or the length of an average movie. Don't want to invest more time than that in front of the boob tube in one sitting.
