Lake City Gas Drops To $2.84

On her Facebook wall, Katrina Swaim cheers: “Yay! Gas is $2.84! I'm simultaneously excited about it and dismayed that I've been conditioned to think of $2.84/gallon as a good price.”

Question: I agree with Katrina. We've been conditioned to think $2.84 is a decent price for gas. Then, it's much better than the average price of gas in Washington — $3.28. What do you think is a “decent price for gas”?
