Richert: IdahoEdNews Is Independent

Sisyphus: I’m quite skeptical of this new media source (IdahoEdNews in Idaho Blogs & Friends blogroll to right). It’s funded by Luna reform backers, the Albertsons Foundation and housed at BSU.

Kevin Richert: Thanks, Dave, for adding me to the blogroll. I’d also like to take the opportunity to cite our editorial policy: “Idaho Education News is an editorially independent source of professional journalism. Partners and funders of Idaho Education News, and board members or staff members of these organizations, do not control or attempt to control or influence editorial content. Some of our funders and partners take strong positions on education policy and these positions may vary widely. We make it clear to all that their beliefs do not influence our editorial product.”

Question: Do you see the advent of IdahoEdNews project at Boise State University as a positive development for Idaho education?
