Gonzaga Celebrates With A Bang

The Inlander reports that Spokane police received 70 calls in a 20-minute period after 10 last night, as a result of Gonzaga shooting off fireworks after the Bulldog win over BYU. Some thought they were hearing gunshots. Gonzaga shot off the fireworks to celebrate its 125th anniversary. Gonzaga posted an apology on its Facebook page, which reads in part:

Our apologies to all who were startled by the fireworks at Gonzaga last evening. We apologize for the disturbance and hope the Spokane community will understand the exuberance behind the celebration of Gonzaga’s 125th Anniversary year. It is a privilege for Gonzaga to be part of this city and we wanted to share the excitement over this milestone with everyone. More here.

Question: Isn't a 125th anniversary worth celebrating in red-white-&-blue style?
