Teen drowns in Blue Lake
Spokane teenager Mitchell Raymond drowned Saturday in a swimming accident at Blue Lake south of Coeur d’Alene. Divers removed his body today.
Raymond, 14, was a student at All Saints Catholic School in Spokane.
“May God give His comfort to Mitchell’s family and our community,” Principal Kathy Hicks posted today on the school’s Facebook page.
Raymond’s body was located in 15 feet of water, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said. Divers found it after 4 p.m. after searching the lake more than seven hours today and two hours Saturday evening. More here.
