Here Comes Zombie Apocalypse

Today the world seems totally overrun by zombies. They're the creature of the moment - like the Cold War-metaphor aliens from outer space in the 1950s. And whether they are metaphors for the impending devastation of viral plague, environmental meltdown or the insidiousness of terrorism from within, these undead, flesh-and-brain eaters rule. While "World War Z" seeks to be the ultimate zombie apocalypse film, here are some other contenders suggested by Statesman staff and readers/Dana Oland, Idaho Statesman. More here. (AP file photo)

DFO: I saw my first two zombie movies -- ever -- last weekend while visiting Amy Dearest and Okie Doke in Portland -- "Zombieland" and "Warm Bodies." Remember the rules of dealing with zombies: cardio is important, tap twice, avoid public bathrooms, buckle up, no attachments, etc.

Question: Which zombie movie is your favorite?
