DFO: GOP Soap Opera Fun To Watch

I admit that the Kootenai County GOP Central Committee is an endless source of amusement for me, dating way back to my beginnings at the Spokesman-Review. Did you know, for example, that former GOPCChairman Chuck Lempesis called for a shortlived boycott of the SR re: I story I wrote in early 1985 about a GOP bigwig who was having money troubles? In the last year to 18 months, the brain trust of the GOPCC has treated us to the invite/disinvite fiasco involving Sheriff Richard Mack and subsequent proxygate. Now we have the silly attempt to censure four Republican legislators simply because they disagreed with the Ron Paulers and Constitutionalists in charge of the local GOPCC re: the state health exchange. The good government part of me wants to see the Reagan Republicans and Reasonable Republicans combine forces to fight the foot soldiers of Bob Pedersen and United Conservatives of North Idaho for precinct committee seats and control of the Central Committee. The fallen blog part of me is content to watch the Central Committee continue to self destruct and be a political laughingstock. Then, it's not my job to try to fix this thing. It's my job to let you know what the GOP equivalent of Pinky and The Brain are conjuring next in their attempt to rule the world/DFO.

Question: Would you rather see the local GOP conduct itself well -- or continue as is?
