Huckleberries Online

Huckleberries Hears …

... That Kootenai County GOPoobah Neil Oliver wasn't happyhappyhappy with Huckleberries Online. In discussing the attempt by uber-cons to censure 4 GOP legislators last night, Oliver admonished the Central Committee and other local Republicans not to air their laundry in public. He said this is a problem that keeps recurring. The information re: the goofy -- my word, not Oliver's -- censure attempt appeared on Huckleberries shortly after it went out. Oliver said that this sort of exposure creates negative publicity and causes damage to the local Republican Party, before the Central Committee discusses the matter. Seems to me that the radicals in the local GOP have been causing damage to the party's image for years now. Oliver seems to have forgotten the flap over Sheriff Mack's invitation to the Lincoln Day Dinner last year. And the way the uber-cons were maneuvering behind the scenes to install one of their own before Republican Treasurer Tom Malzahn decided not to retire. Huckleberries simply shines a light on this kind of nonsense. P'haps it's time that the local Republican Party gets its house in order, rather than blame the messenger.

Thoughts?
