An arrest warrant was issued today for Lillie Alvarado, 45, of Bakersfield, Calif., on a charge of second-degree kidnapping. Alvarado faces charges for her role in transporting a 14 year-old female run-away from Coeur d’Alene Idaho to the suspect’s residence in Bakersfield. Alvarado allegedly traveled by train on March 1 to Spokane. She then rented a car and drove to Coeur d’Alene, where she parked and waited at the end of the block for the 14-year-old to get into her car. This allegedly occurred sometime after 9:45 p.m. Reportedly, Alvarado then drove them both to Spokane where they stayed for a short time at the Red Lion Inn. Alvarado drove the juvenile to the train station, and purchased a ticket for both of them to travel to Bakersfield. School resource officers and the FBI found the juvenile at Alvarado's home Tuesday. The juvenile is currently in the custody of Child Protective Services of California and arrangements are being made to return her to her family in Coeur d’Alene/Sgt. Christie Wood, Coeur d'Alene Police Department. Previous story here.
