Barbieri Fails To Side Track Exchange

Rep. Vito Barbieri, R-Dalton Gardens, failed in an attempt to side track a vote on a state-run health exchange by presenting a motion to send the bill to general orders for amendment. You can read about it here. The House then narrowly voted against Barbieri's motion:

The House has voted 32-38 on the motion from Rep. Vito Barbieri, R-Dalton Gardens, to send HB 248 to general orders for amendment, defeating the motion. Now, it's back to the debate on the bill, the governor's state health insurance exchange bill.
