Hearn Calls Handeen Out

When a Facebook Friend mentioned that Bjorn Handeen had been to her neighborhood, knocking on doors, Tom Hearn responded: "Sorry we haven't made it to your neighborhood yet. We've been walking neighborhoods for the last 5 weekends. I still have over half the zone to walk and hopefully we will make it to your place soon. Mr. Handeen is not working right now so he has more time to walk than I do. I do wish he had taken time from his walking neighborhoods last night to come to the candidate debate. The public has a right to know how we stand on the issues affecting their schools and to compare and contrast our views. Staying under the radar and avoiding public scrutiny of our ideas is not good for the democratic process in my opinion."

Question: How important is door knocking in a nonpartisan race?
