Hump Day Wild Card — 5.1.13

I have a better idea of school board issues, after attending two forums involving candidates for the Coeur d'Alene School Board. I'm also more persuaded than ever that there's no place for partisan politics in nonpartisan offices. The two weakest candidates — the ones who didn't show for last night's forum — are ones endorsed by either the Reagan Republicans or supported by the Tea Party. The intrusion of politics into our nonpartisan offices has given us weaker office holders and divided this community. But I suspect that those who are responsible for the damage don't care what they've done. Now for your Wild Card …
