Becky: 28 Years And Counting

On her Facebook wall, colleague Becky Nappi writes: "So 28 years ago today, Tony and I said "We do." A family member and her boss bet $500 it wouldn't last five years. My family member voted in favor of it lasting and indeed, she collected the $500 in1990. So tonight at dinner we will talk about our 28-year relationship, as we always joke we do. It's lasted through thick and thin, sickness and health, rich and poor and I would bet we'll make it to the death do us part phase, though I hope it's a ways off. Any $500 bets on that?"

Question: Did people expect your marriage to last when you started out? How long has it lasted?
