Mike Posts Pro-Cons To Brooke Letter

In the comments section of Coeur d'Alene Press Online, Editor Mike Patrick posted reaction he's received from the non-invitation extended him to speak this year post-election by President Bob Brooke of the North Idaho Pachyderm Club:

  • You can take you newspaper and shove it where the sun don't shine. You are dis-honest and I refuse to give Hagadon any more of my money.
  •  Sorry good friend. Bob Brooke is right on! The bottom line is that Urban renewal is about JOBS & URBAN BLIGHT. I know that Duane has a lot of skin in the game, but I don’t give a •••t! I would say so in a ltr to ed, but you couldn’t afford to print it. No, I don’t want you to lose your job. I admire your printing Bob’s Letter.
  • What the h••• does a stupid Elephant know? Our Politics has totally got out of control today. You're not invited to speak at their crying session after the election. OH GOSH! TOO BAD FOR THEM! Our city elections should be FREE, not biased by some stupid political slant.

Concludes Mike: I do appreciate all the feedback, positive and negative. And I still have a great deal of respect for Bob Brooke.

Question: Sounds to me as though the local Elephants are nervous that their underwhelming ticket might not win? What say you?
