Poll: Widmyer Narrowly Bests Souza

  • Weekend Poll: Someone monkeyed with the HucksOnline poll over the weekend. On two different occasions, over a half hour time period -- Friday night and Sunday night, Mary Souza received about 75 votes each, which indicates a single individual was manufacturing votes. Steve Widmyer had 81% of the vote prior to the first cluster-vote attack Friday night (which is in line with the vote totals received by three council candidates running on his ticket). He was still leading with 51.5% of the vote prior to the second cluster of about 75 votes from 10 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday. So I'll give you the totals up to 10 p.m. Sunday: Widmyer: 177 of 344 respondents (51.5%); Souza, 161 of 344 respondents (46.8%); and Joe Kunka, 6 of 344 respondents (1.7%).
  • Today's Poll: Do you consider Wayne Hoffman's Idaho Freedom Foundation to be a legitimate charity, worthy of tax exempt status?
