Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce reports via Facebook: "A little excitement at the (Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce) today! A Resort security guard contacted the Chamber, saying there was a baby Bobcat sitting on its steps. Teree went to look, and sure enough! The little guy had taken to hiding in the lavender that surrounds the front of the building. In no time, many cameras and cell phones popped up to capture the moment. After a few calls, Laurie Deus from City of CdA Animal Control, and Mary Berns and Nate Bieber from ID Fish and Game arrived, and were able to corner the little guy and get him into a crate. He’s being taken to their rehab center since he’s a bit too small yet to be released into the wild. There was a scary moment when he dashed down onto the street under a van that was sitting at the red light- fortunately, Diane was able to keep the traffic stopped while the wild cat ran back up to its hiding spot! Thanks to Laurie, Mary and Nate -- our heroes!" (Photos: Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce)
