Mary Congratulates Steve

Mary Souza (seen at Fedora in Duane Rasmussen photo as first election results are reported around 9:20 tonight) just sent this email to The Spokesman-Review re: tonight's results:

We have worked very hard to get our message out to the voters, using every means within our power.  Our supporters have offered generous, active and involved help, for which we are incredibly grateful, and we are proud to have been part of the election process in our city.  As Thomas Paine said, “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must undergo the fatigue of supporting it.” Now, today, the voters have spoken.  They have chosen a different path, as is their prerogative.  We congratulate Mr. Widmyer and his team and we wish the best for ALL of Coeur d’Alene.

Thoughts?
