A Conservative Explains BNI Vote

I live in CDA and consider myself pretty conservative/libertarian. However I voted across the board for the Widmeyer group simply because I (and a lot of other folks around town) are tired of a very small group of curmudgeonly extremists who do nothing but spout negativity about this great community. Had there been more positive, upbeat candidates for the other side of the political spectrum, the election may have been a lot closer or different. I hope the very inaccurately named "Reagan Republicans" will finally shut up after this. They don't come close to representing what true conservatism stands for/SRfrost, SRonline comments (under this story).

Question: Can the Reagan Republicans and CAVErs reinvent themselves?
